As a crucial member of our team, the Inventory Control Associate plays a key role in maintaining the operational efficiency of our distribution centers. This role is responsible for overseeing, monitoring and validating inventory levels to ensure accuracy across departments and functions. This detail-oriented role is perfect for a curious problem-solver who is deeply committed to safety.
A day in the life as an Inventory Control Associate...
  • Primarily responsible for documenting inventory by recording additions, disbursements, adjustments, losses and removal of items
  • Prepares inventory reports
  • Maintains inventory operations by following policies and procedures and reports changes as needed
  • Ensures shipment and delivery time schedules are maintained
  • Investigates and corrects inventory discrepancies
  • Performs periodic review of inventory stock, recording quantity, type, and value of materials on hand
  • Cleans up and disposes boxes, packing material, and pallets, as well as general housekeeping of facility and specific product line areas
  • Rotates through different departments, as necessary, to meet the demands of the business
  • Participates in ongoing training regarding technology upgrades and new systems applicable to the position
  • Responsible for the safe operation of equipment to ensure no damage to merchandise, equipment, or facilities
  • Performs safety checks on lifts, reporting any damage prior to start and end of shift
  • Performs all routine equipment servicing including, but not limited to attaching a battery charger, replenishing fuel, and checking for safety of operations
  • Performs all job tasks assigned by the leadership staff to achieve and maintain daily productivity and quality goals
