Excellent communication skills to include verbal, written & presentation.

1. 5-10 years developing test strategy and automation framework in an enterprise environment, preferably in Agile environment as well.

2. 5-10 years directing all test activities from automation, to script generations, to vendor relations and implementation. Experience with Selenium/Cucumber is a MUST.

3. 5-10 years customer and vendor documentation and communication experience to include developing goals, high level initiatives and looking at the team on how to achieve (this team would be over 100 at SSA)ย

Description of Work:

Participate in the full life cycle of an agile project including in planning, retrospectives, demos and daily stand-ups and demonstrates precision and accuracy in estimating and subsequently delivering within sprints

Designs test plans for complex distributed systems in accordance with overall testing strategy

Develop and execute maintainable automation tests for acceptance, functional, and regression test casesย 

Investigate and debug test failures, updating tests or reporting bugs as necessary and provide test coverage analysis based on automation results

Regularly leads team through preparing and estimation sessions to define acceptance criteria, ensures that the team's acceptance criteria for stories and tasks is appropriate and being met universally

Collaborate with development organization to understand how development changes affect ongoing Automation efforts

Quality Assurance to ensure full functional testing of new features being added every sprint, as well as full regression testing for all previously implemented functionality in every sprint

Ensure proper version control and configuration management of all test object developed and test environments used

Assist in the creation of test project status reports and metrics and provide weekly and monthly status to the management

Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical topics to management and non-technical audiences, as well as interface with the customer on a daily basis

Become knowledgeable on the HIPAA policies and procedures for the program and ensure awareness of HIPAA breach process. Understand your role in HIPAA compliance and be able to execute that role in an effective manner


Basic Qualifications:

Minimum knowledge, skills, abilities.

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology/Systems, Engineering or related discipline and 14 years of relevant work experience as a Test Automation Engineer to help the team deliver results of high quality employing agile best practices

8 years of experience in developing and maintaining automated testing framework and infrastructure using object oriented design

3 years of experience in using Selenium/Cucumber to develop and manage automated test scriptsย 

5 years of experience in using HP Quick Test Professional (QTP) automation tool to develop and manage automated test scriptsย 

8 years of experience in developing test plan, test scenarios, test scripts, acceptance criteria and test data

8 years of experience in investigating and debugging test failures, updating tests or reporting bugs as necessary

5 years of experience in using SQL and relational databases (Oracle, DB2)

Experience in capturing and reusing automated Unit Test cases, Test Stubs and Drivers and other development test objects

Experience in integrating project testing with continuous-integration processย 


Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with these skills will be given preferential consideration.

Experience in using risk-driven techniques to develop, maintain and execute automated test suites to perform automated dynamic testing

Experience in using VersionOne and HP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM)

Proficient in Extensible Markup Language (XML) and Object-oriented programming skills

Proficient in MS Office, MS Visio, and SharePoint

Excellent team building skills, including cross-functional team building

Prior Social Security Administration (SSA) disability experience is a plusย
