Full job description

The Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing established client relationships following the initial account development period. This role focuses on client retention, contract renewals, service expansion, customer satisfaction, and long-term revenue growth. The Account Manager serves as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery across commercial landscaping, snow removal, irrigation, enhancement, and related property maintenance services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned commercial landscape and snow removal accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with property managers, facility managers, HOA boards, commercial real estate professionals, and other key client stakeholders.
  • Conduct routine property inspections, site walks, and client meetings to ensure service quality and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of each property's landscape, irrigation, snow removal, enhancement, and maintenance needs.
  • Identify opportunities to expand services within existing accounts, including landscape enhancements, irrigation repairs and upgrades, seasonal color installations, tree care, snow and ice management, and other value-added services.
  • Prepare and present enhancement proposals, property improvement recommendations, and service expansion opportunities.
  • Manage contract renewals, pricing discussions, and annual service reviews.
  • Partner closely with Operations teams to ensure services are delivered safely, efficiently, and according to client expectations.
  • Monitor service quality, proactively address client concerns, and coordinate resolution efforts to maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Conduct regular account reviews to identify retention risks, revenue opportunities, and operational improvements.
  • Maintain accurate account documentation, client communications, site information, forecasts, and reporting within company systems.
  • Support company retention, profitability, and revenue growth objectives through proactive account management and service expansion.
  • Collaborate with Account Development Managers during account transitions to ensure a seamless client experience and continuity of service.

Account Ownership & Transition

  • Assumes ownership of assigned accounts following the fourteen (14) month account development period.
  • Responsible for client retention, contract renewals, service expansion, customer satisfaction, and long-term account growth.
  • Serves as the primary relationship manager for established clients and ongoing service delivery.
  • Works closely with Account Development Managers to ensure successful account transitions and continued client success.
  • Maintains a proactive approach to identifying enhancement opportunities and protecting client retention.

Performance Expectations

Performance is evaluated through established client retention objectives, renewal rates, revenue growth, enhancement sales, account engagement activities, customer satisfaction, portfolio performance, service quality initiatives, and other key performance indicators established by the Company.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three (3) years of account management, customer relationship management, outside sales, or related experience.
  • Commercial landscaping, snow removal, property management, construction, facility services, or related industry experience preferred.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience preparing estimates, enhancement proposals, and contract renewals.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM software, Microsoft Office, and business reporting tools.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly to client sites.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
