Description:

Position Title: QSR Assistant Manager

Position Summary:

The assistant manager assists with directing overall restaurant management. Directs staff to ensure the food safety, product preparation, and that cleanliness standards are maintained. Maintains standards of physical restaurant safety and security. May assist with recruiting staff and overseeing training programs. May be responsible for inventory and money control systems on their shift. Responsible for assisting with local marketing initiatives – may contact prospective customers to promote sales. Assists with maintaining necessary business records. Exceptional customer service is a major component of this position.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  1. Communicates changes of food preparation formulas, standards, etc. to all foodservice team members.
  2. Ensures that all local and national health and food safety codes are maintained and company safety and security policies are followed.
  3. Supports local and national marketing initiatives.
  4. Identifies and contacts prospective customers to promote sales, as needed by the QSR manager.
  5. Assists with coordinating promotions, caterings and other special events as directed.
  6. Completes all training initiatives provided by the QSR brand.

Essential Functions

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Physical: Must be able to work any area of the restaurant when needed and to operate a computerized POS system/cash register. Position requires bending, standing, and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Full-time/Part-time/Day Shift/Weekend Shift positions vary by location.
