Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated General Manager to lead a high-volume Quick Service Restaurant in LaGrange, GA. This is an excellent opportunity for a proven QSR operator who has extensive experience managing fast-paced restaurant operations, developing teams, controlling costs, and driving strong sales and profitability.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who understands the demands of high-volume QSR operations and can consistently deliver excellent guest service while maintaining operational standards. The GM will have full responsibility for the restaurant's day-to-day performance, including people, operations, financial results, food safety, and guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

Restaurant Operations

  • Lead all day-to-day restaurant operations in a fast-paced, high-volume QSR environment.
  • Ensure consistent execution of company standards for food quality, speed of service, cleanliness, and hospitality.
  • Maintain strong operational discipline during peak periods while ensuring an exceptional guest experience.
  • Monitor restaurant performance and quickly identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, health department, and company standards.
  • Manage opening, closing, and daily operating procedures.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, train, and retain high-performing restaurant employees.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Assistant Managers, Shift Leaders, and hourly team members.
  • Build a strong leadership pipeline and prepare high-performing employees for advancement.
  • Establish clear expectations and hold team members accountable for performance.
  • Conduct coaching, performance evaluations, recognition, and corrective action when necessary.
  • Create a positive, team-oriented culture focused on accountability and operational excellence.

Sales & Financial Performance

  • Take full ownership of restaurant sales, profitability, and overall financial performance.
  • Manage labor costs, food costs, inventory, waste, and controllable expenses.
  • Analyze P&L statements and key performance indicators to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop and execute action plans to increase sales and improve profitability.
  • Ensure staffing and scheduling align with business demands and labor targets.
  • Monitor inventory levels, ordering, food usage, and product costs.

Guest Experience

  • Lead by example in delivering fast, friendly, and consistent service.
  • Resolve guest concerns professionally and promptly.
  • Monitor guest feedback and identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain strong standards for order accuracy, speed of service, food quality, and restaurant cleanliness.
  • Build a culture where the guest experience is a priority for every team member.

QSR Leadership

  • Maintain strong execution during high-volume rush periods.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels and deployment throughout each shift.
  • Monitor drive-thru and/or counter-service performance where applicable.
  • Improve speed of service, order accuracy, throughput, and overall restaurant efficiency.
  • Utilize operational reports and restaurant technology to make informed decisions.
  • Stay actively involved on the restaurant floor and lead from the front.

Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years of progressive restaurant management experience, with significant experience in QSR operations.
  • Proven experience as a General Manager or senior restaurant leader in a high-volume Quick Service Restaurant.
  • Strong understanding of restaurant P&L, labor, food cost, inventory, and sales management.
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit, train, coach, and develop restaurant teams.
  • Experience managing large hourly workforces in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven track record of improving restaurant performance and achieving operational goals.
  • Strong communication, leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred

  • Experience managing a high-volume drive-thru operation.
  • Multi-unit or Area Manager experience is a plus.
  • Experience with major QSR brands is strongly preferred.
  • ServSafe or Food Protection Manager certification preferred.
  • Experience with restaurant scheduling, POS, inventory, and labor-management systems.
