Job description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Part-Time RN to oversee Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) activities and ensure regulatory compliance for our licensed Texas home health agency providing attendant services. This role is ideal for an experienced RN with strong knowledge of Texas home health regulations, accreditation standards, and quality improvement processes.

The PT DON will work collaboratively with agency leadership to monitor clinical performance, conduct chart audits, identify opportunities for improvement, and ensure ongoing compliance with state and federal requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the agency's QAPI program.
  • Conduct routine clinical record reviews and chart audits.
  • Monitor compliance with Texas home health regulations, Medicare Conditions of Participation, and agency policies.
  • Analyze quality indicators, patient outcomes, and performance metrics.
  • Identify compliance risks and develop corrective action plans.
  • Assist with survey readiness and regulatory inspections.
  • Provide guidance and education to clinical staff regarding documentation and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in QAPI meetings and prepare quality reports for leadership.
  • Support policy and procedure updates to maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with the Administrator and clinical team to promote continuous quality improvement.

Qualifications

  • Current, unrestricted Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of home health experience.
  • Previous Director of Nursing or Clinical Manager experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Medicare Conditions of Participation, Texas home health regulations, and QAPI requirements.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.
