This position sits with our Swedish Match affiliate.
The Quality Assurance Engineer will drive process and continuous improvement initiatives within the Owensboro facility. This role supports quality control, supplier quality, material management, and corrective action processes. The engineer will analyze data, identify inefficiencies, and implement solutions to enhance product quality and operational performance.
Your 'day to day
Consultation & Analysis
  • Analyze quality data to support factory KPIs and objectives.
  • Prepare quality reports and escalate deviations as needed.
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis and recommend improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to share best practices and standards

Execution & Compliance
  • Maintain and update quality reporting systems.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
  • Conduct statistical analysis using tools such as SQL, Python, R, SPSS, and Power BI

Decision-Making & Improvement
  • Develop and implement corrective actions and continuous improvement plans.
  • Support QMS procedures and related training activities.
  • Challenge existing processes and products to identify productivity opportunities.

Who we're looking for:
  • Bachelors degree in Biological Sciences, Physical Sciences, Engineering or relevant skills through demonstrated experience
  • 4+ years experience in Quality Assurance/Supplier Quality in tobacco, food, pharmaceutical or similar industry
  • Expertise of DynFO and material Quality
  • Advanced knowledge of International standards (ISO).
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of QMS, CAPA, and supplier quality management is a plus.
