Description

The QA Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and usability of the Sargent and Greenleaf mobile applications, locally hosted and cloud-based dashboards. This role works closely with product management, engineering, and our development team to validate features, enhancements, and releases across mobile, web, and physical lock functionality. The role is onsite at our global headquarters in Nicholasville, KY and reports to the Director of Product Management.

Key Responsibilities:

Create and execute manual test cases for mobile apps (iOS and Android) and related dashboards

Test integrations and communication between app, cloud services and electronic locks

Perform functional, regression, and exploratory testing

Validate releases, bug fixes and platform updates

Document and track bugs and UI improvements

Collaborate with engineering, product and support teams to meet release dates

Recommend improvements to the interface and tested products

Create and maintain test plans, test suites and regression packs

Participate in test planning and acceptance testing

Requirements

  • 2+ years of software QA or testing      experience
  • Experience testing web and mobile      applications 
  • Understanding of QA methods and test      procedures

Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team      environment
  • High attention to detail with strong      organizational skills and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects      simultaneously and work cross-functionally

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite 

Preferred

  • Experience with SaaS dashboards, IoT      or security focused platforms integrated into mobile apps.
  • Familiarity with a variety of      communication methods. BLE, NFC and others
  • Familiarity with authentication      roles and permissions testing

Experience using Jira and/or Azure DevOps for defect tracking, task management, and sprint support

Physical Requirements: 

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.

Ability to travel up to 25% of the time for training, manufacturing visits and field testing.
