UNDERSTANDING
The Quality Assurance Specialist monitors and proposes measures to correct or improve quality processes to ensure that products and services meet ACG standards of quality. This person is organized and upholds compliance with internal/external standards, regulations, policies, and procedures. With an innate sense of curiosity, they use company goals as a guide to look for improvements throughout the quality program. They build the strongest of relationships with operational and supporting departments by providing guidance on quality best practices.
The Quality Assurance Specialist is a team player who supports the core principles of ACG. They require creativity from themselves and their team. They drive a "nothing is impossible" attitude and view issues as direct challenges to better themselves and their team.

This team member supports all aspects of the manufacturing process related to product quality, from Operations to Supply Chain.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop, maintain, and ensure compliance of company specification sheets.
  • Complete customer documentation requests accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Monitor product on hold and lead initiatives to make product disposition determinations.
  • Will perform submission of lab samples, the review of test results, and the creation of finished product release documentation.
  • Assist the QA Associate with performing administrative tasks such as organizing documentation and electronically filing records.
  • Identify ways to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of daily tasks.
  • Analyze and measure progress of process improvements to ensure expectations are met.
  • Implement improvements to mitigate potential compliance risks.
  • Report quality metrics as they relate to assigned responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with other team members to solve problems.
  • Answer customer questions via email and ticketing system.
  • Assist with investigations, corrective actions, and other evaluations.
  • Perform QA processes that support the department's functions.
  • Support external and internal audits by organizing and providing quality records efficiently.
  • Comply with all company Quality, GMP, CFR111/CFR117, and Food Safety Standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Excellent interpersonal skills- team player
  • Hard worker who is a self-starter and proactive
  • Capable of effectively distributing information from visual inspection, written documents, and verbal inputs.
  • Superb computer skills, including database management
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in best practices for testing, version control, and defect management.
  • Experience in performing administrative duties required
  • Experience in a food and/or dietary supplement manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
  • Regular and timely attendance

EDUCATION
  • Must have a High School Diploma or a G.E.D.
