Title: .Net Applications Developer
Duration: 7 Months
Location: Portland, OR
Description
  • Application DevelopmentProvides application software development services. Develops program logicfor new applications or analyzes and modifies logic in existingapplications. Codes, tests, debugs and documents software applications.Analyzes requirements and tests and integrates application components.Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented.
  • Current team consists of 2Developers, 1 BSA and 1 QA (Quality Assurance) Lead. Team is working onArcGIS/ArcFM 10.8.1 upgrade from 10.6.1. This GIS team uses ESRI ArcGIS(Desktop and Enterprise) and Schneider Electrics ArcFm for utilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Programming/SoftwareDevelopment (PROG) Designs, codes, tests, corrects and documents complexprograms and scripts from agreed specifications and subsequent iterationsusing agreed standards and tools to achieve a well-engineered result.
  • Takes part in reviews of ownwork and leads reviews of colleagues' work.
  • Application Support (ASUP)Maintains application support processes and checks that all requests forsupport are dealt with according to agreed procedures.
  • Uses application managementsoftware and tools to investigate issues, collect performance statisticsand create reports.
  • Incident Management (USUP)Prioritizes and diagnoses incidents according to agreed procedures.
  • Investigates causes ofincidents and seeks resolution. Escalates unresolved incidents.
  • Facilitates recoveryfollowing resolution of incidents. Documents and closes resolved incidentsaccording to agreed procedures.
  • Problem Management (PBMG)Initiates and monitors actions to investigate and resolve problems insystems, processes and services.
  • Determines problemfixes/remedies. Assists with the implementation of agreed remedies andpreventative measures.

Requirements
Skillset & Education Requirements
  • Is utilities experiencerequired? (Y/N) Y (this is a must)
  • B.S. (Computer Science orequivalent) with 5+ years of experience.
  • C#, .Net, ASP.Net Developmentand Microsoft Visual Studio experience
  • ArcObjects/ArcFM custom codedevelopment experience
  • Strong working experiencewith ArcGIS Suites including ArcGIS Desktop/ArcGIS Pro, Arc Objects,ArcSDE, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Web App Builder / ArcGIS Web ExperienceBuilder, Esri ArcPy, ArcGIS API for Python
  • Strong working experiencewith ArcFM Suites including ArcFM Designer, Session Manager, ProcessFramework, GDBM
  • Database and SQL experience(Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.).
  • Experience in supportinggeostatistical analysis, geoprocessing, and geocoding tools.
  • Experience managing theintegration of data services and ingests between record keeping systemsand GIS, Geoworx, IQGEO
  • Experience developing onmultiple platforms including Windows and Linux.
  • Good Knowledge in ElectricUtilities
