Job description

Python Developer

The Python Developer will be responsible for designing, architecting, and guiding the development of backend platforms and API services that power enterprise automation solutions. This role requires expertise in Python, distributed architectures, API frameworks, and automation-driven backend systems. The Python Developer will work closely with business stakeholders, automation teams, UI engineers, and DevOps groups to ensure end-to-end solution delivery from design through production rollout.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop backend APIs and services using Flask, Gunicorn, and other production-grade Python frameworks.
  • Manage Python environments, virtual environments, dependencies, and PYPI package maintenance.
  • Work with development tools such as Jupyter, Eclipse, or Spyder.
  • Utilize version control (Git/SVN) and CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, Ansible) for automated deployments.
  • Develop bash scripting for automation and system orchestration.
  • Perform data preparation using Python data structures and Pandas.
  • Work with relational and NoSQL databases, including using SQLAlchemy.
  • Design, deploy, and support enterprise-scale REST/SOAP web services.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional Python development with object-oriented design skills.
  • 5+ years working with Python development tools.
  • 5+ years of hands-on work in Linux environments.
  • 5+ years of experience with version control and CI/CD tooling.
  • Proficiency in bash scripting for automation.
  • Experience with data preparation, Python data structures, and Pandas.
  • 5+ years of working with relational and NoSQL databases, with SQL and ORM experience.
  • Experience designing, deploying, and supporting enterprise-scale REST/SOAP web services.

Top Must Haves

  • Heavy hands on Python back end coding
  • Strong OOP experience
  • Extensive experience working in a Linux environment
  • Experience with Infrastructure as a service

Compensation & Benefits

A compensation range of $60-65/hr on Apex W2 is offered. The final pay rate will be determined based on experience and qualifications. A benefits package may be available to eligible employees.
