The Sprinkler Install Apprentice Technician role is designated for individuals enrolled in Pye-Barker's formal and registered apprentice program. This position focuses on developing technical competency through structured training milestones while supporting installation of fire sprinkler systems. The Apprentice Technician works under supervision and progresses through defined training requirements.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist with installation of fire sprinkler systems under supervision.

  • Use hand tools and installation equipment under supervision.

  • Participate in structured training and apprenticeship program requirements.

  • Develop technical skills and knowledge related to fire sprinkler system installation.

  • Transport tools, materials, and equipment to job sites.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies.

  • Support documentation and reporting processes as directed.

  • Work collaboratively with team members on active job sites.

  • Travel to job sites as required.

  • Other duties as assigned by management.


Education/Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Must be enrolled in Pye-Barker's formal and registered apprentice program.

  • Ability to follow instructions and complete structured training milestones.

  • Must have a clean driving record and active driver's license (if driving is required).


Other Duties:

  • Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.

  • Performs other duties assigned by management.


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in various environments.

  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds.

  • Work performed in commercial, industrial, and construction environments.

  • Exposure to varying conditions including heights, confined spaces, and active job sites.
