Job description

Summary: Transports materials, machine parts, parts kits, etc. on company premises for distribution and storage. This position must handle extremely expensive, heavy, and bulky products using heavy duty forklifts and cranes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Using the production order form, accurately picks parts and materials and delivers them to the appropriate point of usage.
Places incoming materials into the proper storage location.
Accurately records material for transfer and reports any shortages to the Supervisor or Lead Person.
Puts excess parts back into storage and records the transaction.
Informs the Supervisor or Lead Person of any damages or discrepancies.
Ensures that the work area is orderly, clean and safe on a daily basis.
Maintains Putzmeister America’s high standards of quality.
Performs other duties as assigned or directed.
Qualifications:
Data entry computer skills, including work order entry.
Must be proficient in general Windows applications.
Must be able to accurately perform SAP transactions relative to the Warehouse inventory system.
Must be capable of looking up part numbers and locations in the SAP database.
Able to confirm parts to the production order.
Has the ability to add parts and quantities to the computer system.
Education/Certification/Training:
High school diploma or GED.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience with large and expensive products.
Must operate large forklifts, moving extremely heavy materials.
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Frequently required to use personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to hazardous materials.
The noise level in this environment is frequently loud.
Ability to continuously stand or walk; and the ability to bend, squat, climb stairs and lift frequently.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
Safety glasses/goggles must be worn at all times while in designated areas of the shop.
