Senior Storage Systems Engineer - We are seeking a Senior Storage Systems Engineer to support the design, administration, optimization, and security of enterprise SAN and NAS storage environments across on-premises and cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will have expertise in NetApp, Pure Storage, Cisco SAN infrastructure, data protection, disaster recovery, and cloud-integrated storage solutions.

Position Responsibilities

·        Administer, maintain, and support enterprise storage infrastructure, including SAN, NAS, data protection, and disaster recovery environments.

·        Design, deploy, configure, and optimize secure, scalable storage solutions to support business and operational requirements.

·        Monitor storage performance, capacity, availability, and security; proactively identify and resolve issues and vulnerabilities.

·        Support business continuity and disaster recovery (BCDR) planning, testing, failover/failback activities, and data migration initiatives.

·        Implement and manage storage provisioning, replication, snapshots, tiering, zoning, reclamation, and lifecycle management activities.

·        Integrate and support third-party monitoring, observability, and management tools within the storage environment.

·        Collaborate with technical teams, project managers, vendors, and stakeholders to support infrastructure projects and operational initiatives.

·        Develop architecture diagrams, technical documentation, standard operating procedures, configuration management documentation, and after-action reports.

·        Conduct proof-of-concept testing, solution validation, knowledge transfer sessions, and operational readiness activities.

·        Perform capacity planning, trend analysis, and reporting to support operational and strategic planning.

Required Qualifications

·        Experience designing, administering, and supporting enterprise SAN and NAS storage environments in both on-premises and cloud-based infrastructures.

·        Expertise with NetApp and Pure Storage platforms and Cisco MDS SAN switches; experience with additional storage technologies is desirable.

·        Strong knowledge of Microsoft file services, NTFS permissions, file shares, ACLs, Active Directory integration, DFS, and Group Policy.

·        Experience with storage provisioning, zoning, replication, snapshots, data migration, and disaster recovery solutions.

·        Experience integrating on-premises storage with cloud services, including AWS and Azure storage platforms.

·        Hands-on experience with Cisco MDS 9000 Series SAN switches and related management tools.

·        Knowledge of storage security, Zero Trust principles, auditing, data classification, and security hardening practices.

·        Experience with data protection and replication technologies, including snapshots, active-active clusters, metro clusters, and hybrid cloud recovery solutions.

·        Strong understanding of Fibre Channel, iSCSI, FCoE, FCIP, NVMe, NVMe/TCP, object, block, and file storage technologies.

·        Knowledge of VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, and persistent storage integration.

·        Familiarity with server infrastructure, including Dell and HPE platforms, Windows Server, and Linux administration.

·        Experience with Commvault and enterprise backup/recovery technologies.

·        Knowledge of AWS cloud architecture, hybrid cloud connectivity, and storage services such as FSx for NetApp ONTAP, S3, EBS, and EFS.

·        Experience automating storage administration using PowerShell, Python, Ansible, shell scripting, CI/CD pipelines, and GitLab workflows.

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor''''s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Typically requires 5–15 years of relevant storage engineering experience.
  • Storage, cloud, or infrastructure certifications are preferred.
