Job description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Storage Engineer to support a company focused on enterprise infrastructure, cybersecurity, and storage operations within a large-scale mission-critical environment. This position is 100% onsite at Quantico, VA. The Storage Engineer will provide Tier II/III support for enterprise storage platforms, SAN infrastructure, and backup technologies while ensuring system availability, security, and compliance. Join a team responsible for maintaining and securing critical storage environments that support high-priority operational missions. Responsibilities for the Storage Engineer include: * Monitor, maintain, troubleshoot, and remediate issues within SAN, NAS, and enterprise storage environments.
* Provision storage resources, manage capacity planning, and configure backup and replication solutions.
* Perform vulnerability remediation, patching, and DISA STIG compliance activities across storage platforms.
* Upgrade storage hardware and software while supporting virtualization and infrastructure modernization efforts.
* Provide Tier II/III escalation support and document incidents, resolutions, and configuration changes.
Required Qualifications for the Storage Engineer include: * 10+ years of IT experience supporting systems administration, network administration, infrastructure operations, or enterprise storage environments.
* Experience with SAN technologies such as NetApp, Dell EMC, Pure Storage, HP 3PAR/Nimble/Primera, Hitachi, IBM, Nutanix, Infinidat, or similar enterprise storage platforms.
* Strong knowledge of Fibre Channel, iSCSI, NAS, CIFS, NFS, VMware, Windows Server, Linux, vulnerability management, patching, and DISA STIG implementation.
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
* Active Secret Security Clearance required.
* DoD 8570 IAT Level III or IAM Level III certification required (CISSP, CASP+, CISM, CISA, CAP, GSLC, CCISO, CCNP Security, GCED, GCIH, CCSP, or equivalent).
Compensation for the Storage Engineer include: * Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000 depending on experience
