Job description

About Us
We are a proud, family-owned contract manufacturing company with a long history of delivering high-quality, custom solutions. Unlike traditional mass-production facilities, we operate a high-variety job shop where every project brings a new challenge. A significant portion of our work directly supports the Aerospace & Defense industries, meaning the components we touch help keep our nation safe and moving forward. If you love variety, take pride in your work, and want your impact to be noticed every day, you will fit right in.
The Role
We are looking for a resourceful, detail-oriented Purchasing & Logistics Administrator to keep our production floor running smoothly. In this role, you aren’t just a number in a corporate machine—you are the vital link between our suppliers, our shop floor, and our customers. Because we specialize in custom contract manufacturing, you will manage a wide variety of unique jobs, navigate our legacy ERP system, and handle critical compliance documentation for government contracts.
What You’ll Do:

  • Source & Buy: Read custom bills of materials (BOMs) to purchase unique metals, hardware, and outside processing services for specific jobs.
  • Keep Us Compliant: Secure and organize critical aerospace documentation, including material certifications and Certificates of Conformance (CoC).
  • Manage Logistics: Coordinate incoming freight and schedule outgoing shipments, manually preparing accurate packing lists and shipping labels.
  • Problem Solve: Use your grit and Excel skills to track orders, expedite tight deadlines, and resolve vendor discrepancies.
What We’re Looking For:

  • 2+ years of administrative experience in manufacturing, purchasing, or logistics (Aerospace, Defense, or AS9100/ITAR environment is a huge plus!).
  • A master of the manual—you are comfortable using Excel and older ERP systems, and you don't need automated software to keep yourself organized.
  • A proactive communicator who can build strong relationships with local vendors and freight carriers.
  • High attention to detail; you understand that a missing certification can hold up a major government shipment.
Why Join Our Family?
We offer a stable, supportive work environment where your voice is heard, your hard work is rewarded, and you get to see the tangible results of your labor every day. We offer competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and a team that genuinely treats each other like family.
Apply Today: Send your resume to Needitnow@valleywoodcraft.com to join our team!Â
