Job description

Position Summary:

The Parts Crib Clerk manages the acquisition of parts, tools, and materials for facility maintenance, including inventory control, vendor communication, and processing purchase orders. They utilize MP2 for workorders and machine information.

ย 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Purchasing & Procurement:ย Order MRO (maintenance, repair, and operations) supplies, create purchase orders (POs), and solicit vendor quotes.
  • Inventory Control:ย Monitor, track, and organize parts room inventory; perform cycle counting to ensure adequate stock.
  • Vendor Management:ย Communicate with suppliers to schedule deliveries, track shipments, and resolve order discrepancies.
  • Data Entry :ย  Utilize MP2ย  for work orders and inventory control and access for purchasing.
  • Receiving:ย Verify incoming shipments for accuracy and quality, matching invoices to purchase orders.
  • Collaboration: Work with maintenance, production, and accounting teams to ensure budgetary goals are met.ย  ย 
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

ย Job Requirements:

  • ย High School Diploma or equivalent.ย ย 
  • Computer skills required.ย ย 
  • Background in maintenance operations is preferred.ย ย 
  • A background working with MP2 systems or similar preferred.ย ย 
  • Ability to operate a forklift preferred but will train if needed.ย  ย 
  • Follow all PPE (personal protective equipment) and safety requirements such as bonding and grounding.ย 

Compensation

The hourly rate for this position ranges from $18.00 to $24.00, depending on experience.
