Job description

Job Title: Purchasing - Food Receiving and Distribution Clerk

Job Pay Rate: $18.00/Hr.

Job Summary:

As a member of the Purchasing team, you will receive and distribute products throughout the Food and Beverage department.

What you will be doing:

  • Receives all food deliveries according to “Receiving Worksheets” provided by buyers. To include sorting of pallets for proper receipt, storage, and distribution
  • Ensures accuracy of products received against products ordered via “Receiving Worksheets”
  • Ensures quality standards are in place at point of receiving for produce, meats, poultry, seafood, dairy products & bakery/pastry items
  • Palletize, wrap, and label all goods for delivery to their proper outlet
  • Completes receiver short sheet and notes deviations in quality, quantity or accountability
  • Drive vehicles in a professional and courteous manner
  • Work in a prompt and timely manner to ensure timely deliveries of perishable goods
  • Ability to safely and correctly operate lift gate on delivery vehicles
  • Transfers all palletized goods in staging area by pallet jack (manual or electric) to box truck for delivery
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip safety inspection of assigned vehicle(s)
  • Conduct effective communication with other team members via radios and cell phone
  • Deliver all received goods to their proper outlet and have MOD/Supervisor sign for receipt
  • Report any accidents or damage to a vehicle to Security
  • Uphold and abide by all Broadmoor policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
  • Other duties as assigned

What we are looking for:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Valid Driver’s License required.
    • Any employee driving a Broadmoor vehicle must be 18 years or older
  • Experience operating a forklift a plus
  • Flexibility in schedule including working early mornings and weekends
  • Occasional heavy lifting of 50 lbs. (occasional lifting up to 100lbs with assistance) with a work environment that may be indoors and outdoors at times
  • Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic team member who works well with others
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
