The role of the Purchasing Manager is to purchase castings, components, and materials to support the efficient workflow of the company. Collaborates with other departments and leadership to identify and develop needs and requirements for materials while managing vendor relationships. The Purchasing Manager position is part of a team driven to identify, develop and deliver innovative solutions, driven to constantly improve process capability and production volumes.
Responsibilities:
  1. Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power
  2. Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
  3. Develop, lead, and execute purchasing strategies
  4. Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking
  5. Assess, manage, and mitigate risks in the supply chain
  6. Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers
  7. Determine quantity and timing of deliveries and follow up on past due orders
  8. Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand
  9. Expedite / Delay orders
  10. Work with Customer Service on daily needs
  11. Support the company's quality policy and objectives by complying with quality management requirements specified in the quality assurance manual, quality management system procedures and work instructions.
  12. Other duties as requested
