Job Summary

The Purchasing Supervisor oversees purchasing, receiving, storage, and inventory control for food, beverages, and supplies. This role ensures high-quality products are available when and where needed, while maintaining cost efficiency. Upholding the Levy Difference, this position focuses on inventory management, product rotation, strategic ordering, and accounts payable. Purchasing is a collaborative process that fosters innovation and a passion for hospitality. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with location teams and partners
  • Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and sanitation standards
  • Stay organized and prioritize tasks based on business needs
  • Maintain attention to detail across all purchasing and inventory functions
  • Maintain an up-to-date Banquet Event Order (BEO) book
  • Process purchase orders (POs) and manage inventory to optimize cost efficiency
  • Ensure timely invoice payments through current purchasing systems
  • Conduct monthly follow-ups with vendors to resolve missing invoices and statements, submitting reconciliation reports to leadership
  • Oversee proper receiving procedures and communicate product shortages to leadership
  • Assist leadership with month-end inventory counts and reconciliation
  • Plan and conduct monthly audits to verify accurate inventory rotation and reporting
  • Prepare accrual statements to maintain financial health
  • Adhere to company and location-specific purchasing policies
  • Oversee proper handling, storage, and tracking of inventory
  • Monitor inventory procedures for accountability and accuracy

Job Requirements 

  • Minimum 2 years of leadership experience with strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency in English (reading, writing, mathematics)
  • Competency in computer skills and inventory management systems
  • Ability to lift and transport up to 40 pounds, with frequent physical movement (stooping, bending, cleaning)
  • Capacity to walk or stand for extended periods
