Job description

Sons & Daughters is seeking a Beverage Director to lead and evolve one of the country's most distinctive beverage programmes. Working alongside Executive Chef and Owner Harrison Cheney, you will shape a beverage experience that is deeply connected to our cuisine, our producers, and the seasons of Northern California.

Our tasting menu is built around thoughtful sourcing, preservation, and a close relationship with the land. The beverage programme reflects those same values through an extensive wine cellar, non-alcoholic pairings, house fermentations, and an ongoing curiosity for ingredients, craftsmanship, and hospitality.

This is a leadership position for someone who is equally passionate about service, mentorship, and continual refinement. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of the beverage programme, including curation, purchasing, inventory management, cellar organisation, team education, service standards, and beverage pairings. They will work collaboratively with the kitchen and dining room teams to create a seamless guest experience while continually developing the programme with creativity and precision.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Extensive knowledge of wine, spirits, beer, tea, coffee, and non-alcoholic beverages.
  • Experience leading a Michelin level or similarly ambitious beverage programme.
  • A passion for storytelling, education, and guest engagement.
  • Exceptional organisational and financial management skills.
  • A collaborative mindset and a genuine desire to mentor and inspire a team.
  • Curiosity, humility, and a commitment to continual improvement.

At Sons & Daughters, hospitality extends beyond the dining room. We value integrity, craftsmanship, generosity, and a genuine respect for the people who produce what we serve. We are looking for a Beverage Director who shares these values and is excited to help shape the next chapter of our restaurant.
