Job description

Position Summary:

The Inventory Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring proper stock levels, and supporting efficient warehouse operations. This role involves performing regular inventory counts, investigating discrepancies, and coordinating with purchasing, production, and shipping departments to ensure accurate and timely inventory control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure adequate stock for production and customer orders.
  • Perform regular cycle counts and full physical inventories.
  • Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies through investigation and reconciliation.
  • Record inventory transactions accurately in the company’s ERP or inventory management system.
  • Assist with receiving, labeling, storing, and organizing incoming materials and products.
  • Coordinate with purchasing and production teams to manage stock replenishment and material usage.
  • Prepare and maintain inventory reports for management review.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and inventory storage areas.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a warehouse role
  • Forklift Certification (preferred)
  • RF Scanning experience (preferred)
  • Experience with inventory audits
