The Purchasing Assistant is responsible for executing procurement activities in a timely manner while operating within established authority and approval limits. Responsibilities:
  • Conduct price and vendor research to obtain quotes
  • Ensure timely execution of purchase orders and contract signatures from suppliers
  • Create recommendations on the best supplier of materials and services
  • Support activities of personnel engaged in buying and distributing materials, equipment, machinery, parts and supplies
  • Maintain records in software system: create and edit purchase orders and manage vendor quote list
  • Identify new supplier opportunities and complete initial research of supplier

Qualifications:
