Our client is a global leader in food & beverage-specializes in quality fruit juices, concentrates, and flavor blends. We're seeking a Inventory Manager who brings a passion to help us deliver fresh, consistent, and unforgettable taste experiences every time.
Title: Inventory Control Manager
Location: Los Angeles, CA 91331
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8-5pm, fully onsite.
Pay rate: $35-38/hr
Contract to hire (Plus benefits)
The Inventory Control Manager will build and lead the inventory function in a fast-paced flavor manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for designing and implementing inventory control processes that ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in a weight-based system (kilograms, pounds, and units). The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong inventory expertise, team development experience, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to drive operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and lead the inventory control team, including hiring, training, and mentoring staff
  • Develop and implement scalable inventory control processes and SOPs for a weight-based manufacturing environment
  • Partner with purchasing, planning, production, warehousing, quality, and finance to ensure accurate inventory tracking and replenishment
  • Oversee cycle counts, physical inventories, reconciliations, and ERP inventory adjustments
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and material variances
  • Analyze inventory data and trends to identify root causes and drive continuous improvement
  • Support month-end and year-end close activities, reporting, and audit readiness
  • Train cross-functional teams on proper inventory handling and system transactions
  • Promote a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement

Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field (Bachelor's preferred)
  • 3+ years of inventory management experience in a supervisory role, preferably in food, flavor, or chemical manufacturing
  • Experience with weight-based inventory systems and ERP platforms (SAP preferred)
  • CPIM certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong Excel and reporting skills
  • Proven leadership, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to report to any company facility as needed, sometimes on short notice
