Fedway is New Jersey's premier distributor of wine and spirits, serving over 7,000 restaurants, clubs, taverns, and retail stores throughout the state. We offer a diverse range of products that span every category of the beverage alcohol industry and proudly represent some of the world's leading distillers, wineries, and importers. Our dedicated team of managers, sales agents, and customer service representatives is committed to putting our customers first. Fedway Associates is seeking Purchasing Agent to join our team.
The Purchasing Agent uses a sales forecasting system to plan and execute purchase orders while maintaining optimal inventory levels to meet customer demand. This role coordinates with brand managers, suppliers, Fedway's warehouse, transportation providers, and internal teams to schedule deliveries, monitor inventory, resolve supply chain issues, and ensure product availability. The Purchasing Agent also maintains accurate purchasing records and proactively communicates with brand managers and vendors to support an efficient supply chain.
Core Responsibilities:
  • Order Processing: Creating purchase orders, tracking shipments, and verifying deliveries.
  • Inventory Control: Monitoring stock levels to prevent shortages or over-purchasing.
