Job description

Growing construction company seeking a talented Purchasing Agent to join our team. There are two open positions for this role.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with vendors, suppliers, and service providers
  • Negotiate favorable pricing, terms, and contracts to maximize company savings and value
  • Establish and manage rebate programs, volume discounts, and supplier incentive agreements
  • Secure and track year-end rebates, credits, and performance-based incentives
  • Lock in pricing agreements for one- to two-year terms to provide cost stability and budget predictability
  • Lead negotiations for interior and exterior finish materials, site work, temporary services, and other construction-related purchases
  • Analyze market trends and pricing fluctuations to identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Evaluate supplier performance and recommend alternative sourcing strategies when appropriate
  • Collaborate with Operations, Project Management, and Estimating teams to support project procurement needs
  • Maintain accurate records of contracts, pricing agreements, rebates, and vendor communications
  • Prepare reports on cost savings, supplier performance, and purchasing initiatives
  • Other related projects and responsibilities as assigned

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of successful purchasing, procurement, and contract negotiations
  • Strong negotiation skills with demonstrated ability to secure favorable pricing and contract terms
  • Experience developing and managing vendor rebate and incentive programs
  • Knowledge of construction materials, site work, temporary services, and supplier management preferred
