POSITION SUMMARY
The Inventory Control Coordinator plays a critical role in our organization's operations by overseeing inventory activities and ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of our inventory management processes. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, this position requires a keen eye for detail, a commitment to upholding the highest standards of integrity, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will be responsible for entering production work orders, identifying discrepancies and correcting them, and managing inventory counts for both on-site and off-site warehouse storage. The role also involves driving continuous improvement initiatives to optimize inventory operations.
Responsibilities
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Accurately complete entries for production work orders.
  • Assist with the transfer and receipt of purchased inventory items.
  • Support and improve inventory management processes, including regular audits, aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess inventory needs and requirements.
  • Maintain detailed records of all inventory activities, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Demonstrate acute attention to detail in monitoring inventory levels to prevent stock shortages.
  • Resolve inventory-related challenges and conflicts swiftly and effectively, leveraging strong communication skills and a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders to promote collaboration and partnership.
  • Drive process improvements to streamline inventory workflows and enhance efficiency.

PRIMARY TASKS AND DUTIES
  • Enter production work orders into the SAGE 100 system in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
  • Verify the accuracy of inventory records, including quantities, specifications, and locations.
  • Assist with inventory transfers and the receipt of goods.
  • Collaborate with production, logistics, and quality control teams to optimize inventory management and minimize stockouts.

Qualifications
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or supply chain management, with a focus on inventory management and discrepancy resolution.
  • Possesses strong analytical acumen, adept at navigating complex scenarios and making well-informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office applications. Sage experience is a plus.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, adept at cultivating and sustaining productive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • High focus on internal customer satisfaction and a commitment to process and organizational excellence.
