A manufacturing company is seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant to support purchasing and procurement activities. This position will coordinate the timely procurement and receipt of raw materials, parts, tools, and supplies to help maintain uninterrupted operations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills are essential. Responsibilities: Review purchase requisitions and communicate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, and delivery schedules Prepare purchase orders and bid requests Maintain accurate purchasing and vendor records Contact vendors to confirm purchase order details Review order confirmations and identify discrepancies Track orders and follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery Expedite orders and communicate potential delays to internal teams Compare product deliveries against purchase orders and resolve discrepancies Monitor shipments and follow up on delayed or undelivered goods Process and track vendor returns Update internal databases with order details, including dates, vendors, quantities, and pricing Work with receiving and internal departments to resolve issues involving damaged, incorrect, missing, or excess materials Prepare weekly reports regarding vendor delivery performance Prepare purchasing-related correspondence and communications Build and maintain professional relationships with suppliers Assist with additional purchasing duties and cross-train in other buyer functions as needed Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required Minimum 3 years of related purchasing or procurement experience Manufacturing purchasing experience is a plus Experience with shipping, receiving, and inventory control Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Self-motivated, dependable, and a strong team player Pay: $23 per hour Employment Type: Full-Time KPG123
