ADVERTISING TITLE: Purchasing Analyst

This open competitive advertisement is for a Career Service position located at Central office in the Bureau of Procurement.

This position's purpose is to manage the Department's contracts by drafting documents, monitoring renewals, facilitating negotiations, resolving disputes, maintaining records, supporting staff and external partners, compiling data, overseeing projects, and ensuring procurement compliance to meet departmental goals.

This position is not a telework position and is required to report to the FDC office in the area it serves.

JOB DUTIES: 

  • Administers and monitors Department contracts and agreements, including drafting documents, tracking expiration dates, and managing renewals or amendments while keeping management informed.
  • Drafts, edits, and reviews contract specifications, conditions, and regulations; assists in negotiating changes or renewal terms.
  • Maintains contract records in the Florida Accountability Contract Tracking System (FACTS) and internal systems, processes contracts, amendments, and agreements for various agencies.
  • Acts as liaison among vendors, Bureau of Finance & Accounting, and program staff to resolve disputes, clarifies contractual needs with supported entities, and assists staff with contract-related inquiries.
  • Compiles statistical data, provides reports on contract activities, monitors special projects, assists in contract reviews, represents the Department to external parties, and researches public records requests.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior government procurement/contract management experience
  • Familiarity and use of the Florida Accountability Contract Tracking System (FACTS) and/or
  • Florida Certified Contract Manager (FCCM)
