Job description

TITLE: Track Press Operator

FLSA: Non-Exempt


Position Summary

Main duties of an Undercarriage Assembler are to build undercarriage for heavy construction equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Load assembly conveyor with track chain using material handling devices.

· Remove dried paint from mounting areas, as needed using grinder.

· Install track shoes and fastening hardware, snug fastens bolts and track components in position.

· Torque bolts and nuts to requirements using manual and/or electric torque devices.

· Operate track press and electric impact wrench.

· Operate cranes to transport or position large parts onto trucks.

· Operate forklift (sit down).

· Involves climbing, bending, & stooping to assemble.

· Comply with all company policies, procedures and safety polices.

· Is punctual and consistently available for work.

· Perform the cleaning and maintenance duties.

· Perform other general warehouse duties and responsibilities as required.

· Work in a safe manner, follow all safety rules and report any potential safety hazards to management.

· Ability to lift/move 100lbs using proper lifting skills unassisted.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

· A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.

· 2 years of experience in a warehouse position

· Ability to prioritize work and multi-task in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

· High level of attention to detail and accuracy.

· Must be able to speak English

· Possesses basic math skills.


Physical Demands and Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is Continuously required to stand for long periods of time and move rapidly for entire shift. Continuously required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel reach with hands and arms, grasp, handle or manipulate object and hear.

The employee is frequently required to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and crouch while picking or looking for parts. Frequently mount & dismount warehouse lift equipment. Must demonstrate ability to repetitively lift, push/pull or carry items weighing up to 100 pounds repeatedly throughout shift.

Occasionally required to sit, climb or balance.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

Due to the open environment of the warehouse, must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions to include dust, gases, heat, humidity and cold.

Personal Protective Equipment is provided (earplugs, eye protection, gloves, steel toe boots/shoes).
