Job description

Pay: $20-$25 per hour

Location: Ceres, CA

The Role

This Pump & Valve Repair Technician is responsible for the assembly of pumps, valves, and TrueClean process equipment. They will provide this support to internal and external customers of CSI. The position requires attention to detail, strong ability to manage oneself, and flexibility to complete all associated tasks.

This includes:

  • Operational responsibility: Use and maintenance of all work instructions for assembly of various pumps and valves here at CSI
  • Training and encouraging: Internal and external vendor training to continuously grow ability
  • Optimize the processes for CSI to maintain differentiation versus direct and indirect competition

What Youll Do

Pump, Valve, and TrueClean Assembly

  • Provide technical assistance to co-workers, prospects, and customers
    • Escalate issues to Managers as needed
  • Perform reliable assembly of pumps, valves, and TrueClean equipment at CSI facilities
  • Perform pump, valve, and TrueClean breakdown activities
    • Includes put away and bin management tasks
  • Assist in the repair of pumps, valves, and TrueClean equipment at customer facilities
  • May include afterhours emergency calls to CSI shop or customers site
  • Assist with fabrication and assembly of pump carts as needed
  • Manage internal and external customer expectations and relationships
  • Assist with in-house or on-site customer training
  • Remain in compliance with good manufacturing processes (GMP) and safety regulations
    • All safety rules, regulations and procedures trained and/or implemented by CSI staff
  • Complete technical self-study programs for career development
  • Performs other duties as assigned by CSI Supervisor or Manager

Education & Training

  • Class C drivers license, required.
  • High school diploma, required.

Experience

  • Maintenance or production experience in food manufacturing plant, desired.
  • Awareness of food safety and continuous improvement (Six Sigma), preferred.
  • Proven track record of mechanical and electric problem solving.
  • Must be able to read and understand mechanical drawings.

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

This role is primarily office-based, Monday-Friday, with limited travel. It requires extended computer use, effective communication, and occasional movement within industrial environments. Light physical activity, including standing, bending, and lifting up to 20 pounds, may be required.
