    About this Role
    Service Electric Company is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Safety Coordinator to support and promote safety across all company projects. This is an open-ended opportunity based in Puerto Rico. Safety Coordinators play a key role in ensuring job site compliance with company safety policies and regulatory requirements, while fostering a culture of safety among all employees.
    What You'll Do
    • Participate in routine job site visits to monitor and promote safety compliance.
    • Conduct safety assessments on crews during site visits.
    • Assist with regular safety inspections and audits at job sites.
    • Enforce the Service Electric Company Construction Safety Manual, Health and Safety Plan, and Contract Safety Specifications.
    • Monitor regulatory updates and recommend revisions to safety documentation to maintain compliance.
    • Facilitate the development and delivery of safety training programs, including OSHA-related requirements.
    • Conduct new employee orientation safety training.
    • Assist in accident/incident investigations and prepare detailed reports for the Safety Manager.
    • Provide support and guidance to field personnel in performing their job functions safely.
    • Maintain and assist with safety and security certification documentation and project safety reporting.

    What You'll Bring
    • Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in electrical construction or maintenance.
    • Working knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations.
    • Relevant safety certifications are a plus (e.g., OSHA 30, CSP, CHST).
    • Strong knowledge of health and safety plans and practices.
    • Ability to represent Service Electric Company professionally and work effectively in a diverse environment.
    • Strong judgment, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
    • Self-motivated and proactive in addressing safety concerns.
    • Demonstrated leadership with the ability to model and promote safety expectations.
    • Strong communication skills; able to actively listen and support employees regarding safety matters.
    • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
