Description
BigIron is seeking an Auction Operations Manager to lead and support our auction operations team. This position is responsible for overseeing day-to-day auction processes, ensuring data accuracy, maintaining compliance standards, and providing operational support to internal teams and customers.
The Auction Operations Manager works closely with Sales, Customer Service, Lenders, Buyers, Sellers, and other departments to ensure auction listings move through the process accurately and on schedule.
This will be a hybrid role out of our Omaha, Nebraska office with travel once a week to our Saint Edward office. Occasional travel to other company locations within the United States is required as business needs dictate.
Responsibilities
  • Manage and support the daily activities of the auction operations team.
  • Monitor workflow and ensure auction-related tasks are completed accurately and within established timelines.
  • Conduct lien searches using company systems and verify required documentation.
  • Review titles and supporting documentation prior to auction publication.
  • Maintain accurate records and update internal systems, including HubSpot and other company software.
  • Review auction listings for accuracy, grammar, categorization, and completeness before publication.
  • Approve and publish auction listings and lots to the company website in accordance with established procedures.
  • Provide support to sales representatives, buyers, sellers, and lenders by responding to questions and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Track departmental metrics and prepare reports related to team performance and operational activity.
  • Ensure team members complete required training and provide ongoing coaching and development.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and enhance the customer experience.
  • Research and resolve operational issues while exercising sound judgment and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Stay informed on applicable UCC regulations and company procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements
Qualifications
  • Associate degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and related work experience will be considered.
  • Agriculture knowledge strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years of leadership, supervisory, or management experience preferred.
  • Experience in operations, customer service, administrative support, or a related business environment preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
