What does a publisher account manager do?

A Publisher Account Manager is responsible for managing and nurturing relationships with publishing partners, often in the digital advertising or media industry. Their main duties include onboarding new publishers, optimizing existing publisher accounts for better performance, and ensuring that publishers are satisfied with the company's services. They also analyze data, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate closely with sales and technical teams to maximize revenue and growth opportunities for both the publisher and the company.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a publisher account manager?

To thrive as a Publisher Account Manager, you need a solid understanding of digital advertising, account management, and data analysis, often supported by a degree in business, marketing, or communications. Publisher Account Managers often juggle relationships with several publishers at once, each with unique goals and needs. A common challenge is prioritizing tasks and communication to ensure every publisher receives timely support and attention.
