Job description

Job Title: School-Based Paraprofessional
Location: Olathe Public School District
Employment Type: Full-time

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and student-centered Paraprofessional to support students in a school-based setting. This role involves working with a diverse K–12 caseload, providing both academic and behavioral support in individual and group environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students in classroom settings
  • Assist with the implementation of instructional and behavioral plans
  • Support students with academic tasks, social skills, and daily routines
  • Help maintain a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment
  • Monitor and document student progress as directed by teaching staff

Qualifications

  • Comfortable working with a K–12 student population
  • Ability to support students in both 1:1 and group settings
  • Minimum of 48 college credit hours (preferred)
  • Previous experience as a school paraprofessional or behavior aide (preferred)
  • Strong communication, patience, and adaptability
