Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform clerical duties to support the school library media program.
    *Assist with maintaining the library collection.
    *Shelve, organize, and maintain order of library materials.
    *Assist the school librarian by running reports in digital platforms that support the library media program.
    *Process library materials and maintain routine record keeping as directed.
    *Repair and surplus library materials as directed.
    *Assist staff and students with reserving resources or spaces in the library media center.
    *Assist the school librarian with inventory of the library collection and resources.
    *Create and submit maintenance requests for resources managed by the library media center.
  • Perform clerical duties to manage and utilize the library management system.
    *Assist with maintaining the library management system.
    *Assist the school librarian by running reports in the library management system that support the library media program.
    *Assist with processing materials using the library management system.
  • Attend professional learning opportunities provided by Library Media Services and the local school.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time. The employee is also required to talk, hear, stand, and walk.
