Ability Rehab PT is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team in Norfolk, Virginia. The successful Physical Therapist will work onsite at our rehabilitation facility in Norfolk, Virginia, a community dedicated to holistic patient wellness. Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and treatment areas designed specifically for orthopedic rehabilitation. You will be collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals within a supportive environment that emphasizes teamwork and shared goals.

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients, taking comprehensive medical histories and performing specific assessments to form an appropriate treatment plan.
• Communicate evaluation findings, treatment plans, and rehabilitation goals effectively to patients and their families, ensuring they feel actively involved in their care.
• Implement individualized treatment protocols based on evaluation results, patient needs, and best practices in a dynamic healthcare environment.
• Engage in effective communication and consultation with fellow healthcare providers to ensure cohesive patient care. Identify and document any changes in patient conditions, adapting care plans accordingly.
• Manage discharge planning and follow-up care, maintaining accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters, progress summaries, and discharge evaluations to reflect the full course of care.
• Efficiently manage your schedule and meet productivity expectations while actively participating in departmental goals and marketing initiatives.
• Commit to ongoing professional development and education, mentoring and supporting less experienced staff and interns as a clinical instructor.
• Enhance patient access to care by actively participating in initiatives aimed at removing barriers to treatment.

Our facility caters primarily to orthopedic patients recovering from injuries, surgical procedures, or chronic pain conditions. You will work with a diverse patient population, including athletes, postoperative patients, and individuals seeking relief from debilitating conditions. With a focus on personalized care, your role will directly influence the recovery journey and overall well-being of our clients.

• Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• State licensure as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee.
• A minimum of two years of relevant experience in a clinical setting, particularly in orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Current CPR Certification.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in innovative rehabilitation practices, familiarity with electronic health records (EHR), and a strong commitment to patient-centered care. Experience in community engagement initiatives and marketing activities will also be valued.
