What does a psychology intern do?

A Psychology Intern is enrolled in an academic program and typically performs clinical work under the supervision of a licensed Psychologist. The exact specifications of each psychology internship vary, but in this role, you must meet the standards set forth by the American Psychology Association (APA). During the internship, you work on developing several skills to offer psychological care to patients, by performing research, taking assessments, and practicing therapy sessions. You work closely with your supervisor to ensure you develop the necessary skills expected of students at this level of education. The internship may provide academic credit depending on the institution and the doctoral-level program you are pursuing.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure data integrity and alignment with approved methodologies.

Community & Engagement Initiatives

  • Assist with the planning and preparation of the annual Clean Up Event, collaborating with internal teams to coordinate logistics and ensure a successful outcome.
