Department Information
The Department of Psychological Science is a large and dynamic department in the Norman J. Radow College of Humanities and Social Sciences. The Department has more than 50 full-time and many part-time faculty supporting a major and minor in psychology, including a fully online undergraduate program. In the Department of Psychological Science, our accomplished faculty guide students in the study of behavior and mental processes through a comprehensive program that promotes scientific thinking and cultivates transferable skills that lead to meaningful careers. Our psychology majors gain valuable hands-on experiences and skill-building opportunities across the curriculum by engaging in high-impact practices such as study abroad programs, internships, peer mentoring, and research experiences. Committed to rigorous scholarly activity and evidence-based teaching, we develop students as global citizens, competent interns, peer educators, skilled researchers, and confident leaders who are well-prepared for the next stages of their personal and professional journeys. Job Summary
Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a pool of open rank, part-time and limited term faculty positions in the Department of Psychological Science for the academic year 2026-2027. These positions are on an as needed, semester-by-semester basis. Rank is determined at the time of hiring and will be commensurate with credentials. These positions are for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.
Responsibilities
  • Teaching undergraduate courses in the psychology discipline

Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.
Required Qualifications
  • A minimum of a Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in psychology or a closely related discipline is required by start date.

OR
  • A minimum of a Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in a non-related discipline with 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline is required by start date.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Record of successful teaching of undergraduate courses in psychology, with names of courses taught clearly specified in CV and/or cover letter
  • Experience teaching online or hybrid courses
  • Details of availability for in-person teaching specified in cover letter
