Class A CDL Driver - Home Daily
PSC Group is hiring Drivers for immediate openings! Enjoy short-haul routes with scheduled pick-ups and drop-offs, driving new, company-owned equipment-and be home daily. Job Duties & Responsibilities:
• Safely delivers short haul freight by dry vans, grain trailers and roll off to customer and industrial locations in TX and LA
• Operates state of the art air mover and other heavy equipment
• Plans the most efficient routes and delivering freight on time
• Performs truck and trailer inspections before departure and reports deficiencies
• Properly completes company work orders and ensures all paperwork is received to haul load - BOL, weight tickets
• Secures the freight before departure and monitors safe securement throughout the trip
• Safely drives vehicle on customer property, public roads or privately held properties by obeying all traffic and safety laws
• Reports any delays due to road conditions, accidents, or breakdowns to management
• Completes any other duties that may be assigned to complete the job
Job Qualifications:
• Must possess a Valid Class A CDL Driver's License and with the ability to secure a TWIC Card
• Must be able to pass DOT Physical & Hair Follicle drug screen
• 2 or more years' driving experience with an incident free driving record
• 21 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
• May require a valid Driver's License and / or a valid TWIC card, depending on work location
• 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
• Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
• Wear all required PPE without restriction and pass any required medical exams
• Speak, write, read fluent English
• Regular on-site attendance and punctuality is required
• Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus
Work Schedule:
8 - 10 Hour Day Shift (With availability for on-call)
