WSL Class A Driver
30-42 hours a week,
Mon 2am-2pm PSC-SEA-PSC,
Tue 12am-2pm PSC-BOI-PSC,
Wed 2am-2pm PSC-SEA-PSC,
Thu 8am-12pm Local
Fri On Call

Overview: As a Linehaul Driver, you will be responsible for transporting freight over long distances between terminals, ensuring safe and timely delivery while adhering to company policies and regulations. You will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of the supply chain by transporting goods efficiently and reliably.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform Pre and Post trip inspections, recording faults in ELD software, and providing written documentation of faults to management.
  • Perform basic vehicle/equipment maintenance and repairs.
  • Fully understand how to operate and safely drive delivery vehicles.
  • Check weather conditions and road reports prior to departure.
  • Minimize delays by planning and adjusting routes to account for changing weather and traffic conditions.
  • Comply with FMSCA and DOT regulations and obey all applicable traffic laws.
  • Maintain detailed driving logs using ELD software.
  • Confirm contents of loaded freight matches manifest.
  • Ensure freight is properly secured to prevent breakage or damage.
  • Safely and efficiently unload freight at assigned destinations.
  • Obtain proof of delivery signatures upon completion of each delivery.
  • Enhance customer relations by consistently delivering freight according to schedule and quickly addressing customer concerns.
  • Immediately notify management of delivery issues.
  • Always make safety a priority.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Schedule:

  • Monday thru Friday
  • Ability to work 40 hours or more per week.


Qualifications:

  • Valid commercial driver's license Class A CDL
  • Minimum of 1 - 2 years of experience as a commercial truck driver, with a clean driving record and demonstrated commitment to safety.
  • No license suspension, revocation for more than 30 days
  • No violations of the following in the last 36 moth period prior to the date of hire:
  • Conviction of an at fault accident
  • Reckless driving in any motor vehicle
  • No violation of the following for the last 60-month period prior to the date of hire:
  • No DUI or reckless driving in and motor vehicle
  • No violations of DOT drug or alcohol requirements/proof of SAP required for any violations
  • Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs) and other technology used for tracking hours of service and recording driver activity.
  • Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and industry best practices for cargo securement, vehicle inspection, and safe driving techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers, and coworkers.
  • Physical stamina and ability to perform the duties of the job, including lifting, bending, and sitting for extended periods.

Compensation:

  • $24-$27 an hour depending on experience
