Summary of Position
Profitably grow sales of PetSafe Brands products to Key customers.
Responsibilities
• Establish & maintain relationships with new & existing customers.
• Understand the needs and requirements of the PSB customer and their systems in-depth. This includes all facets and all levels of their organization.
• Help lead teams with marketing, SBU's, supply chain, and finance to reach company objectives.
• Collaborate with customers in the presentation of our products in their environment
• Administration: (Pricing, Returns, Annual Customer Agreements, Monthly reports)
• Communication: Timely & Accurate for both Internal and External customers (Customer Issues, Program Changes, Market information, etc...)
• Forecasting (Provide monthly forecasting to supply chain team and/or forecasting coordinator)
• Provide insights & direction for new & current products, pricing and distribution strategies.
• Manage PSB distribution policies and MAP pricing.
• Co-ordinate sales strategies with PSB web/e-commerce team
• Work directly with SBU's to reduce discontinued and excess inventory, as well as manage the transition of discontinued products with the Sales team.
• Understand the consumers' needs and expectations for our products and services using methods such as listening to consumer calls in Customer Care.
Qualifications
• Knowledge of business & management principles involved in strategic planning, resources allocation, human resource modeling, leadership technique, production methods and coordination of people and resources.
• Estimating sizes, distances, and quantities, or determine time, cost, resources, or materials needed to perform work activity.
• In-depth understanding of competitive offerings and how they relate to our products.
• Understanding of the current market dynamics and how to leverage.
• Strong understanding of the retail environment and related channels of distribution
• Superior problem and analytical skills
• Aptitude to multitask
• Concern for detail
• Ability to communicate to all levels
• College degree or 5 years' experience
• Negotiation skills
• Ability to travel (up to 20% overnight travel)
• Proficient in use of computer (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Accountabilities
• Meet or exceed Monthly/Quarterly/Annual Sales Budgets
• Achieve and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through:
• "Perfect Order" - orders flow smoothly as a result of accurate and timely information regarding product specs and pricing
• Category management - Serve as category expert and lead line review process for PSB and in as appropriate all vendors in the category
• Achieve specific objectives listed on BSC
• Continued Self Improvement - Learning outside of PSB.
• Accurate and timely administration of pricing programs, annual customer agreements, monthly reports and expenses).
• Forecast by sku within established BSC metrics.
