WHAT YOU WILL DO

Works in collaboration with National & Regional Field teams toward attaining targeted incremental sales goals for Hyundai & Genesis in accord with the National Dealer Network Strategy toward attaining MTP. Identifies, engages and coordinates with current and prospective dealers to facilitate and support negotiations between perspective parties and optimize network representation via facility actions, relocations, and other various network activates. This is a critical role in restructuring and improving the Hyundai & Genesis dealer network performance, image, and configuration in support of the company objectives. 

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
  • Identifies and meets with prospective dealer candidates, current dealers, and Regional representatives to optimize network configurations and ownership consolidation.
  • Collaborates on priorities and interests for Hyundai & Genesis in nationally identified key priority markets to drive increased sales based on established Market Studies, while supporting deals in the best interest of HMA and GMA.
  • Presents dealership changes to the Dealer Network Committee composed of HMA and GMA Senior Executive Officers for approval and authorization of commitments.
  • Provides regional support on Market Representation issues, offering coaching and counseling to dealership owners and regional management, and may recommend dealer terminations and support related legal actions.
  • Routinely reviews sales results, evaluates network change contributions, analyzes improvements and market studies, and incorporates new research into future strategy.
  • Acts as the primary field subject matter expert on network strategies and manages negotiations for major support, network lifecycle management, and significant DND actions.
  • Works with Legal and Finance to ensure documents accurately reflect dealer and HMA/GMA expectations, commitments, and obligations.
  • Coordinates with Real Estate representatives on site identification and maintains documentation to ensure commitments are executed per agreement.
  • Meets with potential new dealers to promote a positive image of HMA and GMA.
  • Establishes Market Representation policies, channel management priorities, facility programs, long-term network strategy, dealer performance standards, and departmental budgets.
  • Approves or rejects dealer applications, enhancement requests, and prioritizes HMFC floor plan applications.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE
  • Must be a high school graduate.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Master's degree a plus.
  • Fifteen or more years of wholesale automotive experience including five years in positions relating to market analysis and dealer representation planning and placement.
  • Seven or more years of senior level experience with OEM field background.
  • Supervisory experience is preferred.   
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong people relationship and management skills.
  • Ability to deliver complex projects on time and within budgetary guidelines.
  • Exceptional written and oral communcation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Ability to collarborate with people at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to manage budgets, payments and schedules.
  • Knowledge of business operations and the ability to recognize the dealership locations and management that will maximize the potential sales markets for Hyundai and Genesis.
