Your Opportunity to Make an Impact
As a Commercial Installation Specialist, you will serve as a subject‑matter expert for resilient flooring installation, providing hands‑on technical support, training, and guidance to internal teams, customers, and industry partners. You will troubleshoot complex installation and product issues, support claims resolution, and contribute to new product evaluations. This role plays a key part in sharing technical knowledge, improving installation outcomes, and supporting the successful performance of products in the field.
What You Will Do
  • Provide technical expertise and instruction on the installation of resilient flooring products across multiple platforms.
  • Conduct installation training for internal teams, customers, and industry professionals.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex product and installation issues.
  • Support claims resolution by reviewing samples, determining root causes, and preparing written reports.
  • Conduct product testing and assist with the evaluation of new products under development.
  • Provide technical assistance to internal and external customers across North America via phone and on-site support.
  • Work collaboratively with distributors, sales teams, and national accounts to deliver technical solutions.
  • Draft, update, and enhance technical documentation, including installation guides and training materials.
  • Inspect and assess large commercial job sites and submit findings to leadership.
  • Participate in job-start meetings and high‑profile installations to ensure proper procedures are followed.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized technical workspace.
Who We're Looking For
Experience amp; Skills
  • Minimum 10 years of master‑level resilient flooring installation experience.
  • INSTALL certification or equivalent preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of resilient flooring systems, installation methods, and materials.
  • Ability to analyze installation issues, identify trends, and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work in dynamic environments and adapt to changing schedules.
  • Willingness and ability to travel, including occasional nights, weekends, and extended stays.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks associated with flooring installation, including bending and lifting.
Knowledge amp; Education
  • Familiarity with ASTM industry standards preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field preferred; equivalent industry experience considered.
The salary range for this role is $100,000 to $110,000 and a yearly bonus potential. This range is applicable for jobs performed in the Eastern and Central Time Zones. An employee’s pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors including relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, and business organizational needs.
