Strategic Insight, Ltd., is seeking a Specialist in Data Management and Analytics (Senior or Mid-Level) specialists to support our Digital Transformation Clients. This position is a Hybrid work schedule.

You will lead the development of strategies to improve an organization’s maturity and capability, creating and applying tools for the collection, transformation, and preparation of data for analysis, visualization, and insight.

Summary:

This opportunity offers the ability to contribute to the digital strategy initiatives and develop exciting, leading-edge techniques in data management for a federal client. Comfort in a fast-paced, dynamic, open, collaborative, and highly visual environment and the ability to work on multiple projects with diverse stakeholders simultaneously are critical.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support the Data Lead in doing the following,
  • Coordinate with colleagues and clients to collect, analyze, and report project-specific data and other business needs,
  • Design and advise on Microsoft 365 business solutions, primarily using Power-Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate, Dataverse) and applying Microsoft's best practices and methodologies,
  • Work with other application teams to integrate with the client's systems/processes, i.e., APIs, SQL, SFTP, web requests, etc.,
  • Leverage experience in the analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation of enterprise-scale apps to assist clients’ digital maturity in the use of data and tools,
  • Analyze large and varied data sets from multiple sources, generate a concise report, and present recommendations to aid in digital transformation initiatives,
  • Interact with government stakeholders and teaming partners to gather requirements and propose analysis solutions for leadership,
  • Identify, document, and collaboratively resolve data integrity issues as needed,
  • Support organizational digital transformation through a best practice approach to drive data hygiene, literacy, and documentation. Advise on educational or training requirements for the digital team,
  • Provide expert data-driven decision-making support,
  • Provides oversight of data management activities,
  • Serve as an expert resource supporting data questions and issues from stakeholders and drive to resolution,
  • Implement data management techniques and data collection systems,
  • Champion development and implementation of quality controls to ensure adherence to standards,
  • Develop strategies that optimize data quality, data security, and process efficiency,
  • Lead in the design, development, validation, and delivery of data to provide insight into business decisions,
  • Works closely with other service area leads to ensure data management services remain capable of meeting ongoing and future requirements,
  • Work with analysts and government stakeholders to understand requirements and compile structured and unstructured data, ensuring its quality, accuracy, and reasonableness,
  • Manage the collection of business and technical requirements from stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions. Produces and reviews technical documentation that is consistent with professional standards, and
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Undergraduate degree and 3+ years (Mid) or 5+ years (Sr.) related experience. Additional years of experience can be substituted for education,
  • Intermediate to advanced experience with data visualization tools, i.e., Power BI or Tableau,
  • Experience developing and supporting solutions that address a range of business needs, including portals, workflows, forms, collaboration sites, dashboards, and document management tools using Microsoft 365 (M365): Dataverse, Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, and SharePoint,
  • Proven analytical skills,
  • Related experience in qualitative/quantitative analysis, reporting, ad hoc analysis,
  • Experience in data management, SharePoint, and cloud migration required, and
  • Familiarity with DoD, Department of the Navy, or other Federal Agency.
