Job description

Providence Life Services offers Independent Living in apartments and town homes, as well as Assisted Living, Memory Support, short-term post-acute Rehab services, and long-term Skilled Nursing Care in our senior communities in Illinois, Indiana and Michigan. Victorian Village, located in Homer Glen, our Continuing Care Senior Community is seeking a part time Resident Aide for our day shift.
The hours for this position is from 6:30am-2:30pm which would include every other weekend.
Summary of essential job functions
  • Assist in toileting, bathing, and daily grooming of assigned residents.
  • Maintain a calm, pleasant living environment for the residents.
  • Report and document changes in medical condition to the appropriate nurses on duty.
  • Give and receive shift reports to ensure consistent medical care is delivered.
  • Measure and record vital signs as necessary or instructed.
  • Participates in life enriching activities for our residents.

Requirements
  • Previous experience in a senior living community or long-term care is a plus.
  • Compassionate and empathetic personality.
  • Must be CPR certified or obtain one within 3 months of hire.
