Position Overview
This person will join a five-person team and report to the Director & Controller, Fund Accounting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, has a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and is flexible to take on whatever task is needed.
Responsibilities
The Associate, Fund Accounting will be responsible for the following:
  • Prepare bank reconciliations
  • Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation
  • Assist with weekly cash activity reporting
  • Prepare and track Fund capital calls and distributions
  • Assist with preparation of quarterly financial statements
  • Interact and coordinate with auditors as needed
  • Respond to ad-hoc limited partner requests
  • Prepare wire transfers
  • Ad-hoc reporting and special projects as necessary
  • Miscellaneous responsibilities as deemed appropriate and needed within the finance team

Qualifications
The successful candidate will have an exceptional track record and reputation. Given the significant responsibilities of this position, the top candidate will be a mature, experienced individual. In addition, the successful candidate should have:
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience required, preferably within a Big 4 public accounting environment
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • CPA or working towards CPA strongly preferred
  • Proficient Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience with Workday and Investran a plus, but not required
  • Meticulous attention to detail and high level of conscientiousness to work product
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
