This position supports key reimbursement functions, cost report preparation, and financial analysis activities that directly impact organizational compliance and revenue integrity.

About the Role

The Manager of Financial Services will work closely with the organization’s reimbursement and financial operations teams to support Medicare‑related reporting, analysis, and audit preparation. This role is responsible for compiling and validating data used in cost reports, supporting audit responses, and ensuring compliance with current regulatory requirements.

This is a hands‑on analytical role requiring exceptional attention to detail, strong technical proficiency, and the ability to interpret large volumes of patient‑related financial data.

Key Responsibilities

Medicare Reimbursement Support

  • Compile Medicaid‑eligible days and related data used in Medicare Disproportionate Share (DSH) reimbursement calculations
  • Support internal and external audits related to DSH
  • Prepare documentation and appeal packages for DSH‑related reviews
  • Perform Medicaid eligibility rematches as needed
  • Organize and maintain supporting documentation for reimbursement‑related protest calculations

Cost Report & Worksheet Analysis

  • Prepare charity care, uninsured, and bad debt analyses used in annual cost report filings
  • Reconcile general ledger activity to cost report components
  • Support audit requests related to cost report worksheets
  • Compile waiver‑related data for applicable states

Financial Tools & Reporting Support

  • Assist the financial services team with internal reporting tools and data models
  • Compile statistical and operational data used in cost reporting and reimbursement analysis

General Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to internal compliance standards
  • Support process improvements and contribute to operational efficiency
