Job description
Your Impact
The Senior Security Analyst I (Threat Intelligence) is responsible for developing, maturing, and sustaining Axon's Global Threat Intelligence capability by transforming information into actionable intelligence that protects our people, facilities, operations, executives, and brand worldwide.
Working within the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC), this role serves as a foundational member in advancing Axon's vision of an intelligence-driven Global Security organization, where timely, actionable intelligence enables proactive decision-making across every security function. By identifying emerging risks, analyzing global trends, and delivering strategic, operational, and tactical intelligence, this position helps Global Security anticipate threats before they materialize while enabling the business to operate confidently around the world.
This is not a traditional analyst role. It is an opportunity to build, influence, and shape the future of Threat Intelligence within a rapidly growing global organization. The successful candidate will design scalable intelligence processes, establish program standards, integrate emerging technologies, and create a Threat Intelligence capability recognized for operational excellence, innovation, and trusted business partnership.
As Global Security continues to evolve, intelligence will increasingly become the foundation for how we anticipate risk, allocate resources, respond to emerging threats, and enable the business. This role will help establish that foundation by building the capabilities, partnerships, and processes that embed intelligence into everything we do.
This role is designed for a builder-someone energized by solving complex problems, creating new capabilities, and continuously raising the standard. If you're most fulfilled by building something lasting rather than maintaining the status quo, you'll find this role both challenging and deeply rewarding.
Success in this role will be measured not only by the intelligence products you deliver today, but by the enduring capability you create for the Global Security organization tomorrow.
What You'll Do
Threat Intelligence & Analysis
- Develop strategic, operational, and tactical intelligence products that support enterprise security operations and executive decision-making.
- Monitor, assess, and analyze global threats including geopolitical instability, terrorism, civil unrest, organized crime, executive threats, workplace violence, cyber-physical convergence, and emerging risks impacting Axon's global operations.
- Produce timely intelligence assessments, executive briefings, travel advisories, situational reports, BOLOs, and security notifications that enable informed business decisions.
- Develop regional threat profiles, trend analyses, and recurring intelligence products supporting Global Security and enterprise stakeholders.
- Establish Priority Intelligence Requirements (PIRs), identify intelligence gaps, and develop collection requirements aligned with organizational priorities.
Threat Intelligence Program Development
- Build and mature Axon's Global Threat Intelligence Program by developing scalable processes, governance, standards, and repeatable intelligence workflows.
- Develop intelligence collection plans, analytic methodologies, dissemination procedures, and quality assurance standards that support a world-class intelligence capability.
- Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), intelligence playbooks, and program documentation that ensure consistency, scalability, and long-term sustainability.
- Develop intelligence products, processes, and cross-functional partnerships that enable intelligence to inform decision-making across Global Security programs including GSOC Operations, Protective Services, Executive Protection, Investigations, Travel Security, Crisis Management, and Workplace Violence Prevention.
- Continuously assess program maturity and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, automation, and operational effectiveness.
- Develop meaningful performance metrics that measure program effectiveness, support continuous improvement, and demonstrate business value.
Intelligence Operations
- Serve as the primary intelligence resource supporting the Global Security Operations Center.
- Validate, assess, and escalate credible threats affecting Axon personnel, facilities, executives, travelers, operations, and global business activities.
- Support crisis management, incident response, business continuity, and executive protection operations through timely intelligence and enhanced situational awareness.
- Develop intelligence watchlists, early warning indicators, and monitoring criteria that enable proactive threat identification and risk mitigation.
- Support workplace violence prevention initiatives, travel security programs, and enterprise risk assessments through intelligence-driven analysis.
Technology & Innovation
- Champion the responsible use of AI, automation, and emerging technologies to accelerate intelligence collection, enhance analytical rigor, improve situational awareness, and reduce manual effort.
- Evaluate and integrate commercial threat intelligence platforms, OSINT capabilities, and monitoring technologies that strengthen enterprise security.
- Identify opportunities to automate intelligence workflows, reporting, and information sharing to improve operational efficiency.
- Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and industry best practices to ensure Axon's Threat Intelligence capability remains innovative and forward-looking.
Enterprise Partnership
- Champion the integration of intelligence into enterprise security operations by building trusted partnerships across Global Security, Cyber Security, Legal, Human Resources, Facilities, Communications, Executive Protection, and business leaders.
- Translate complex intelligence into actionable recommendations that enable confident executive and operational decision-making.
- Represent Global Security in enterprise risk discussions, crisis management activities, and cross-functional security initiatives.
- Develop collaborative relationships with law enforcement, intelligence organizations, industry peers, and trusted external partners to enhance information sharing and situational awareness.
What You'll Bring
Experience
- Five or more years of experience in threat intelligence, military intelligence, law enforcement, corporate security, cybersecurity, intelligence analysis, or related disciplines.
- Demonstrated experience building, developing, or maturing intelligence programs, security capabilities, or operational initiatives.
- Experience producing strategic and operational intelligence that informs executive or business decision-making.
- Experience supporting global organizations operating across diverse geopolitical and operational environments.
Technical Expertise
- Strong understanding of the intelligence cycle, structured analytic techniques, intelligence collection management, and intelligence production.
- Experience utilizing OSINT platforms, commercial threat intelligence tools, social media analysis, and global monitoring technologies.
- Understanding of the convergence between physical security, cybersecurity, information security, and enterprise risk management.
- Experience supporting crisis management, incident response, fusion centers, or intelligence-led security operations.
- Familiarity with AI-enabled research, automation, and intelligence technologies is highly desirable.
Communication & Leadership
- Exceptional analytical, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex intelligence in a clear, concise, and actionable manner.
- Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships, influence stakeholders, and collaborate across multiple business functions.
- A builder's mindset with the initiative, curiosity, and resilience to create new capabilities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Intelligence Studies, Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, Political Science, International Relations, Cybersecurity, or equivalent professional experience preferred.
- Relevant certifications such as CTIA, CPP, PSP, GCTI, GIAC, or equivalent are preferred.
Why Join Global Security?
This is a rare opportunity to build-not inherit-Axon's Global Threat Intelligence capability.
You'll help shape how intelligence informs every aspect of Global Security, influencing everything from executive protection and crisis management to travel security, enterprise risk management, and strategic decision-making. Working alongside an innovative and mission-driven team, you'll leverage AI, automation, and emerging technologies to create an intelligence capability that directly supports Axon's mission to Protect Life.
We're not looking for someone to maintain an established program-we're looking for someone energized by the challenge of building one.
If you're passionate about solving complex global problems, creating lasting capability, and helping shape the future of Global Security, we'd love to hear from you.
