Job Description:

Parsons Corporation is seeking an experienced professional to join our growing Indianapolis environmental practice. Parsons' Indianapolis office is leading the way in delivering major transportation projects across the state, and our full-service environmental group is integral to its success.

This role requires:

  • Technical expertise inecology, water resources, and related permitting. Experience with the highway/bridge sector, specifically withINDOTprojects, is strongly preferred.

  • Strong organizational skills to lead and deliver environmental tasks and projects.

  • Commitment to working in ateam environmentand providing leadership and mentorship to other staff.

  • A relationship-builder mindset and an attitude ofpartnership with our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and/or deliver allecological and permitting requirementsfor transportation projects in Indiana, including:

    • Field investigations

    • Waters of the U.S. (WOTUS) report development

    • Section 404/401 permitting

    • Construction in a Floodway (CIF) permitting

    • Experience with high-profile and complex projects is preferred.

  • Conduct field investigations for the presence ofthreatened and endangered species(e.g., bats, migratory birds).

  • Lead field investigations and providetechnical guidanceand mentorship to team members within areas of expertise.

  • Communicate and coordinate effectively with other disciplines involved in projects (e.g., public involvement, roadway, bridge, drainage, construction).

  • Implement Parsons'quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC)system, including reviewing work products and identifying continuous improvement opportunities.

  • Actively participate inpublic involvement activities(e.g., public meetings, presentations, hearings).

  • Supportbusiness developmentactivities, including project pursuits and preparation of letters of interest.

  • Take advantage ofleadership and growth opportunitieswithin a dynamic and growing environmental team.

Qualifications

  • 4-year degree inbiology, environmental science, or a related field.

  • 40-hour USACE-approved Wetland Delineation Training.

  • 8+ yearsof related work experience, with experience supportingINDOTprojects preferred.

  • Relevant professional certifications (PWS, CPESC, etc.) are desirable but not required.

  • Excellentwritten and oral communicationskills.

  • Previousconsulting experienceis a plus.
