Job Summary:
The Security Guard will protect Refreshed Tech’s people, facility, and inventory by patrolling the property on foot, monitoring access points, and deterring theft, damage, and unauthorized entry. This role safeguards millions of dollars in electronics inventory and equipment across the warehouse and grounds, responds to incidents, and maintains a visible, professional security presence. Evening/night shift coverage is the priority, with an additional day-shift role on property, plus some weekend availability for overtime.
Essential Duties, Functions and Responsibilities:
● Patrol the facility, warehouse, and surrounding property on foot at regular intervals to deter and detect theft, vandalism, trespassing, and safety hazards.
● Monitor and control access points, verifying employees, visitors, and deliveries, and ensuring doors, gates, and entrances are properly secured.
● Protect company assets, including high-value electronics inventory and equipment, by maintaining a visible security presence and enforcing security policies.
● Observe, document, and report suspicious activity, security breaches, and incidents promptly, and respond appropriately to alarms and emergencies.
● Maintain accurate logs of patrols, visitor activity, and shift observations, and complete written incident reports as required.
● Operate and monitor security systems, including cameras, alarms, and access controls, and report any malfunctions or vulnerabilities.
● Coordinate with management and, when necessary, local law enforcement or emergency services, and assist with secure opening and closing of the facility.
Competencies/Skills/Abilities:
● Reliable and dependable, with a strong commitment to punctuality and consistent shift attendance.
● Alert and observant, with the ability to stay focused and vigilant during long periods of patrol or monitoring.
● Sound judgment and the ability to remain calm and respond appropriately in emergencies or high-pressure situations.

● Physically able to patrol on foot and remain on duty for extended periods, including standing and walking throughout the shift.

Required Education and Experience:
● High School Diploma or equivalent
● Prior security, loss prevention, military, or law enforcement experience required
● Clean criminal background check and verifiable professional references required
Preferred Education and Experience:
● Valid state security guard license or certification, where applicable
● Experience in warehouse, distribution, or high-value inventory environments
● CPR/First Aid certification and familiarity with surveillance and access-control systems
